Parents Connect brings parents and caregivers together in small groups to talk about the challenges they face raising children with mental health struggles.
It was really nice to have an understanding group of parents to be able to bounce thoughts, struggles, and ideas off of each week. A group of parents who don’t judge your parenting or your child’s conditions can be difficult to come by, but Parents Connect provided that to me.
My child is struggling with their mental health. Every week I meet with a group of parents via Zoom — all facing similar issues. We listen, help and support each other.
Parents Connect Groups are Ongoing
Who
Parents Connect groups are made up of four to six parents with children in the same age range who are dealing with mental health issues. We gather without judgement to share our struggles as parents, find community, and new approaches to parenting during a time that can feel isolating and scary.
Why
When parents and caregivers connect and learn from others in small, confidential groups, they feel less alone, knowing that there are other people who are walking in similar shoes. Within the supportive cohort, participants can share openly and discover new strategies and different perspectives. We hope participants will find a network of parents to talk with during and beyond the program.
When
Groups meet weekly for one hour via Zoom.
• Kids Ages 6-13: Tuesdays, 10:00 - 11:00 am
• Kids Ages 6-13: Wednesdays, 1:00 - 2:00 pm
• Teens Ages 12-18: Tuesdays 1:00 - 2:00 pm | NEW
• Teens Ages 12-18: Tuesdays 7:30 - 8:30 pm | FULL
• Adult Children 18+: Tuesdays, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
• Eating Disorders: Thursdays, 11:30 am - 12:30 pm
How
Parents Connect Groups are facilitated by a fellow parent (not a trained therapist) who has experience parenting a child with mental health issues

Parents Connect is part of CATCH's Parent Support Network (PSN) which provides direct support for parents and caregivers, offering access to personalized resources as well as opportunities to connect with other parents one-on-one and learn from others in small, confidential groups.
